Rakhee Making Workshop
Rakhee making workshop was organised by the dept of home science for intellectually disabled inmates of Late Umesh Haladkar Matimand Mulanchi Shala, Jagdish Nagar, Nagpur, on 5th August 2025.Students of B.Sc. Home science taught the children by using various materials like satin ribbon, paints, chart papers, sequence, beads etc. The workshop was intended for enhancing motor skill development of the hands.... And developing coordination. It also boosted their emotional well being.

Tree Plantation Drive
On 18th July 2025, LAD College, in collaboration with Nagpur Municipal Corporation along with Nagpur First Foundation, successfully organized a tree plantation drive aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and community participation. A total of 50 saplings were planted within the privately maintained park, with active involvement from both students and residents. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation, as residents also pledged to take responsibility for nurturing and maintaining the plants. The tree plantation drive was headed and planted by students of LAD college from the Science and Humanities field.

DAY 1 - Communication Skills
A transformative session on “Communication Skills – The Key to Success ” was conducted on 14th July for the students of I & III Semester. Led by Dr. Smita Choudhury, the workshop offered valuable insights into the art of effective communication and its vital role in personal and professional growth. Students actively participated and appreciated the interactive and enriching learning experience.

An impactful session on “ Leadership and Teamwork” was conducted on 15th July 2025 for the I & III Semester students as part of the Bridge Course initiative. The session, led by Dr. Smita Choudhury, focused on nurturing leadership qualities, fostering collaboration, and building confidence through engaging activities. Students enthusiastically participated, gaining practical insights into effective team dynamics and the essence of true leadership.
